| In recent studies done by Stanford, organic food is no more nutritious for you than conventional food. However, the use of pesticides in conventional food makes organic food considered better for the environment. I think that this study ignores many things. This may not affect the health of the consumers but for the workers, who touch and pick these fruits and vegetables, these health effects will not only be on their bodies, but also on their children and their children’s children because pesticides linger in the human body and can pass on through generations. Just knowing the social and environmental impacts of organic food, I would choose organic over conventional. How about you? Now knowing that organic food will not give you any health benefits, are you willing to pay extra?
