Club Rush - how to green it up! 10/28/2008 Karma: 0
Can the green advisory participate in this, even though we aren’t a “club” ?

If so, let’s get ideas on the table asap:

  • Fair trade chocolate (I have a contact in Warm Springs)

  • Solar-cooked brownies (solar cookers are ~$40)

  • Advocate to all clubs to use biodegradable and/or reusable utensils, paper plates, cups, bowls… green bin! We can give tickets away to everyone helping green the event and then use some recycling money to buy a small raffle prize?

  • Chipotle is a fairly organic vendor… someone (ie, Linda) could contact them?

  • Teriyaki Express *might be* organic, if nothing else… it’s low fat/carb/cal and they are in Union Landing

This is your chance ATHENA!
I think Rajan's idea for stationing and manning the bins would be a good idea as it would have an actual person to educate and show by example what is recyclable and compostable. We can even have a game?
