New ad campaign 08/03/2011 Karma: 0
I just read about a new ad campaign by the Sierra Club, which is targeted at coal-burning power plants. The ads themselves have drawn a lot of attention for the way they make their point, placing images of power plants next to images of children and clearly highlighting the health impact by calling children a "filter" for power plant pollution. Do you think these ads are likely to be effective?

Sadly, these ads could be effective. It is annoying when companies used children to support their ad but it definitely gets the point across. It is one thing to say that children are suffering because of this but another to show people they are suffering. The visual aid helps a lot more than just words alone.
