Water Crisis SolutionsThe combination of the need for green products and clean drinking water has led many inventors and entrepreneurs to consider creating equipment that uses renewable energy in order to filtrate water. Many water filtration machines need power, and many villages in Africa do not have power. So, in order to really help many of these communities, equipment must be developed that relies on renewable energy. Apart from the obvious need in Africa for clean drinking water, there is also a great need for these water filtration products in areas that are hit by natural disaster. Haiti, for example, is in desperate need of clean water as a result of the earthquake. Although the need was much greater a few months ago directly after the quake, the need is still very real. And even here in America, when Hurricane Katrina hit, New Orleans was in desperate need of clean drinking water. One such water filtration unit that satisfies both functions of operating in a green manner and producing high quality drinking water is the Feltenberger Pendulum Pump. The Feltenberger Pump, as revealed in the name of the company, is actually powered by gravity. It has a large pendulum attached to the face of the unit, and when the pendulum is swung, it causes the machine to begin operating. This very green machine can actually produce a startling 1,000 gallons of clean drinking water per hour. The Feltenberger Pump can also filter water at different degrees of cleanliness. It can filter water that passes normal U.S. drinking water requirements, but it can also filter water that is hospital grade. Gravitational Energy Corporation is currently conducting several showcases of the pump around the United States before it sends off its first machine to Haiti. The fact the Felteberger Pump is powered by gravitational pull makes it very attractive to those seeking to protect the environment, and the fact it can produce 1,000 gallons of water per hour of hospital grade drinking water makes it very attractive to humanitarian agencies throughout the world. This is one product that attempts to tackle two of the world’s biggest problems and seems to accomplish the feat. Perhaps one doesn’t want to learn to trade forex, but does want to take advantage of growth in foreign companies. If so, investing in products that satisfy global problems, and do it in a green manner, may be an intelligent decision. 1. 23-01-2012 15:11 Yes Yes Yes! Renewable energy that puts out more water is the key. Combine that with desalination efforts, and there's no reason that we'd ever have a drought again throughout the world. We run an organic farm, and we're thinking about adding a shurflopump along with drip lines into our efforts. We have a pond, so we're not using well water (which uses electricity).
