Eco friendly cleaning products 08/13/2008 Karma: 0
I was wondering if anyone had tried making their own cleaning products and if they have had any luck with it.

I have used vinegar and water for class and window cleaner and that works very well. I have also started using baking powder instead of comet, and that has worked well also. I haven't made any of the more complicated cleaning products yet, but I am hoping to do so, and was wondering if anyone had any advice for when I do?

One thing that I usually like to use to clean grease and dishes (and to also rid my hands of garlic and onion after cooking) is lemon. And vinegar, yes, is another good option.

A really good resource for using everyday products to make non-toxic cleaners is:

They give different recipes for different cleaning needs-and it's all very simple!!!
