TOPIC: Green Mortgage Brokers

Green Mortgage Brokers 02/04/2008 Karma: 0
Are there any mortgage brokers in Atlanta who are knowledgeable about Energy Efficient mortgages, Energy Improvement mortgages, and other ways of financing green construction and/or improvements to existing homes?

There is a lot of information on the web, but I prefer to deal with someone local when it comes to mortgage products.

I'm sorry I can't offer any assistance in the Atlanta Area, specifically. But I did find this interesting article in the Wall Street Journal which indicates that some banks, such as Bank of America, sometimes offer "green mortgages".

Perhaps a survey of your local banking institutions and credit unions might reveal some sources. I'm sure there may also be some venture capital organizations that might be jumping on the band wagon. But I'm not sure how one ferrets out the VCs!
