Raising buyer awareness about green homes 01/19/2008 Karma: 0
I am an ecoBroker in Atlanta Ga who is interested in productive marketing plans for Green and Energy-efficient homes. Although Atlanta has some great programs (EarthCraft, South Face Energy Institute, etc.) we are clearly behind many other cities in terms of the number of buyers who value and/or are specifically searching for green homes. Do other agents and/or home sellers have interesting or unique ideas concerning how they marketed energy-efficient and/or other aspects of their green homes?

I think www.realtor.com has a Green Homes category.

If you write a press release about Green Homes for your local newspaper, it could get picked up by the Associated Press, but there are plenty of television stations that are broadcasting "green" news including HGTV (home and garden television) which features DIY information and details about home improvement, home sales, etcetera...you might find a way to feature a commercial on HGTV, that channel is national/international and a common one on Satellite programming.
