Are there any Greeniacs out there that are familiar with solar farming?
I have land in Texas and New Mexico that I think would be ideal for this use.

I looked up solar farming and I think that there are two things this could mean: 1. you have a farm and you want it to operate on solar power or 2. you have a bunch of land and you want to turn it into a solar farm, meaning an open lot with tons of solar panels to sell to energy companies.

1. The USDA has a great website about how to transform your farm to use many varieties of solar power. The website with links to multiple ideas is:

2. There are opportunities to have a solar farm that can produce enough energy to sell to a company like PG&E, but the farm has to a significant investment. The best bet is to get in contact with an organization such as the American Solar Energy Society. (http://www.ases.org/) They have opportunities to become a member and get involved in producing your own solar.

Plus, Congress just passed a bill that gives a 30% tax credit to residential solar installation, so its possible, whether you are interested in scenario 1 or 2 to get some cash back for your green investment. Hope this helps!
