As soon as I read your post I got curious and searched for "green iphone apps" and was pleasantly surprised. I had no idea how many green apps there were out there. I found this list: http://appadvice.com/applists/show/green-apps-for-iphon

and I am excited to try some out. Thanks for the links!

Now there's an app that depicts the impacts of climate change with before and after shots:

I recently made a list of various green apps that can be used for either the iPhone or the Andriod. The one app that I found to receive a lot of praise was the GoodGuide app. This app makes it easy to find sustainable products while you shop. Its bar code scanner feature lets you check a products environmental impact so you can decide just how green it really is. So many products claim to be “eco-friendly” or “green” but with so much greenwashing there’s no real way of knowing how much water their claim holds… until now.
This app is free and can be used on both the iPhone and the Andriod. If you want more information on this app you can go to their site by clicking on this icon

how it works

I just have to chime in with my favorite iPhone environmental app- the soil app!

Sure it might not be "green" since brown is the old green. but in any route, check it out if you've ever wondered what lay beneath your feet...
