Wind Energy in Cities 11/24/2011 Karma: 0  
Saw a cool article about harvesting wind energy in windy cities, say San Francisco or Chicago! Pretty neat designs, and although they aren't very powerful, they do harvest energy from existing, renewable sources, and certainly should be part of a portfolio.

Thanks for the link! I think this is a good idea. Hopefully they start doing this soon. It makes more sense to put the wind turbines in windy cities. I was visiting in Utah a few months ago and the area I was in had so many of them. It didn't make sense to me seeing as the area I was in doesn't produce as much wind as SF or Chicago.

Agreed. Unfortunately, I just read this article that indicates that the future of wind energy is not looking so bright:
